Fleets
Fleets are Twitter’s version of SnapChat style Instagram ‘Stories.’ After rolling out in November, they are now available to all users. Fleets are the perfect way to engage your followers right in the moment and immediately following social and cultural events. You’re able to share a specific tweet to the Fleet or post a tweet from the posted image on Fleet. It’s not a major component of the Twitter experience, but can be used as a different way to engage with your audience.
Ways to use Fleet include introducing one-day sales and live broadcasting. Got any behind-the-scenes photos? Share them in a Fleet. Think of Fleet as a way to engage with your audience when you don’t want things to be permanent. Customers love those fling-ish moments with bigger as well as intimate brands.
In order for your followers to interact with your Fleet posts, you’ll need to have your DMs open to the public.
Memes
Memes have become a staple of cultural conversation. Memes are a great way to show your audience that you are culturally relevant, cool, and funny. And everybody loves humor.
When you can’t find the right words to reach your audience, a meme always provides the perfect solution. With the more recent US President Inauguration taking place, many brands monitored social media instead of scheduling posting with the many threats looming from news reports.

Polls
Polls are good for just that– finding out what tickles the fancy of your followers. Do you need any assistance with naming new products or product designs? Consider asking your followers first through Twitter polls.
Polls help provide consumer insight without the middle man. These online surveys are a great way to test what works best for your audience.
You can set the duration of the poll and up to four different choices. You’ll also want to notify any creatives of the timeline for each poll so you can create a witty follow-up. Innovation should be at the forefront of all of your Twitter content. In order to be creative, you’ll need to know who you are tweeting to. You can do this with an audience audit or simply take a look at what people say about your brand online.
A great way to get creative is how your brand uses emojis. If your brand or company doesn’t use emojis in their tweets, then you’re missing out on ways to connect with your audience.
